And, finally, I can show the first results of a long term project which I began some years ago with my friends Bruno D’Amicis and Marco Colombo! Massive and invisible at the same time, the Mediterranean monk seal is struggling to regain space on the shores of the World’s busiest sea. Its secrets, enclosed in the folds of the wildest coastlines, are revealed in this book. The result is a unique portrait of this species, in which aesthetics and scientific facts merge. I carried out already several expeditions in the last 10 years, but time and financial constraints prevented me to fully accomplish my goals. I hope that this grant will allow me to complete the project. My work is carried out in collaboration with the Spanish NGO Harmusch. Click here to get more insights
